Job Title: Trade Assistants / Plant Operators – Binduli Solar Farm
Location: Binduli, near Kalgoorlie, WA
Project Duration: Mid-September to December 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Project Our client is delivering a 2.3 MW modular solar farm installation at the Binduli North Gold Mine, located just 10 km west of Kalgoorlie. This project is a first-of-its-kind, utilising prefabricated solar tracking technology to deliver clean energy to Norton Gold Fields’ heap leach operations.
Role Overview We are seeking 6–8 experienced Trade Assistants / Operators to support civil and mechanical works during the construction phase. Ideal candidates will have experience working on construction or energy infrastructure projects and hold valid operating tickets for mobile equipment.
Key Responsibilities

• General trade assistant duties across site (civil and mechanical)
• Operating equipment such as:
  
  • Excavators
  • Skid-steers
  • Front-end loaders
  • Telehandlers
  • Forklifts
  • Plate compactors
• Use of basic power tools and hand tools
• Site clean-up, equipment movement and material handling
• Supporting installation of solar tracker foundations and prefabricated structures
• Following all site safety protocols and procedures

Required Licences & Experience

• Valid Driver’s Licence or Photo ID
• Experience and/or tickets for:
  
  • Excavator
  • Skid-steer
  • Front-end loader
  • Telehandler / Forklift
  • Plate compactor
• Comfortable with basic power tools (e.g. drills, grinders)
• Previous civil or construction site experience preferred

Onboarding Requirements All candidates must provide the following before site mobilisation:

• Site Clearance Documentation
• Pre-employment Medical - we will book if you don't have one
• Drug & Alcohol Screen (DAS) – must be less than 1 month old
• National Police Clearance (NPC) – valid within 12 months
  
  • OR a previous NPC + statutory declaration + receipt for new NPC

PPE Requirements Provided:

• Long-sleeve shirts
• Hard hats
• Safety glasses
• Gloves

To be provided by workers:

• Long pants
• Steel-capped safety boots

Start Date: Early onboarding in August, with work commencing mid-September 2025.
