Are you a strategic leader passionate about energy innovation and the transition to a sustainable future? We are seeking a highly motivated General Manager – Energy Storage to lead the development and delivery of energy storage solutions across our client's portfolio.


This pivotal role is responsible for driving innovation, establishing a high-performing team, and delivering battery energy storage projects from concept through to operation. You will ensure alignment across commercial and technical functions and play a key role in shaping the future of energy storage within our client's business.


  • Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of a robust pipeline of energy storage solutions aligned with overall company strategy.
  • Technology Innovation: Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies to enhance energy reliability and flexibility.
  • Project Oversight: Manage large-scale energy storage projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including regulatory bodies, partners, and communities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet relevant legal and environmental standards.
  • Team Leadership: Build, develop, and manage a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with procurement, engineering, markets, and operations to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Performance Management: Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement across initiatives.
  • About YouProven strategic leadership experience in energy, infrastructure, or innovation environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy markets and storage technologies, particularly battery energy storage systems.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in project development, procurement, and risk management.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilient, collaborative, and results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines and navigate complex challenges.
  • QualificationsTertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Law, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Additional InformationSome travel to other offices and project sites may be required.
  • This role is critical in advancing sustainable energy initiatives and ensuring the reliability of power systems.
