About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team, deliver outstanding client service and oversee all bookkeeping requirements for a diverse client base. You will manage client relationships and be responsible for workflow coordination, resource allocation, delegation, and reviewing the work of team members.
With your knowledge and experience, you will support team members to problem solve, continuously develop and improve across the full remit of bookkeeping activities.
Responsibilities - Liaise with key clients to provide timely and transparent communication
- Oversee the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Develop reconciliations, including bank and general ledger
- Preparation of BAS statements and short-term cash flows
- Delegate bookkeeping work to appropriate resources
- Collation of various reporting materials
Skills and ExperienceSome of the skills, experience and attributes that we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping role
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in IT applications and software (ideally including Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks)
- Time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to plan and schedule ahead of time
