Company & Job: Experienced and skilled Boilermaker wanted, with 2 to 3 years of leadership experience to oversee and coordinate a team of Boilermakers on a variety of projects.
As a Leading Hand Boilermaker, you will be responsible for supervising and guiding the team to perform specialized welding, fabrication, and maintenance tasks on a range of equipment, including pipework, conveyors, material handling equipment, pressure vessels, hoppers, pumps, valves, vacuums, cooling towers and more.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead, coach, and guide a team of Boilermakers to ensure efficient project delivery and high-quality workmanship.
- Provide regular updates to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Participate and lead toolbox meetings to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Assist with on-site steel fabrication assessments and estimates and providing guidance on specialized welding tasks.
- Ability to work with the team in various stances, and conduct welding operations safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Requirements & what's on offer: - Competitive hourly rate up to $43 to 45 per hour, 10-hour days, paid at 8 hours then time and half at $67.50 for 3 hours then double time at $90 per hour.
- Full-time job with all the perks of being an employee, including holiday pay, sick pay, and 1 RDO a month, and opportunities for bonuses and incentives based on individual and team performance.
- Certificate III in Engineering and Fabrication, with proven experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor in a similar role.
- Specialized experience in stainless steel fabrication and installation of medium to heavy industrial applications and equipment, with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a meticulous and reliable approach to work, and ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
