Commercial Insurance Marketer – SME Segment

We’re seeking a Commercial Insurance Marketer with a strong background in small to mid-size enterprise (SME) insurance to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering tailored insurance solutions to a diverse range of clients, including complex and mid-large accounts.
You’ll work collaboratively with producers, underwriters, and clients to assess risks, identify insurance needs, and develop customized marketing submissions and proposals. This position requires a consultative approach, strong technical expertise, and a client-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring high service standards and timely delivery
  • Prepare comprehensive marketing submissions, binders, and proposals tailored to client risk profiles
  • Identify coverage gaps and offer proactive solutions through upselling and cross-selling
  • Collaborate closely with insurance partners to secure competitive and comprehensive terms
  • Provide expert-level consultation on a wide range of insurance classes and specialty products
  • Handle multi-line accounts, including complex or niche risks, with premiums ranging from $50,000 to $1 million
  • Coordinate placements involving U.S. and international exposures as required
Qualifications
  • RIBO license (active and in good standing)
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial insurance brokerage experience
  • Strong technical knowledge in all major lines of commercial insurance, including specialty areas such as Cyber, D&O, and E&O (asset)
  • Additional industry designations (CAIB, CIP, CRM) considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education is also considered an asset
