Commercial Insurance Marketer – SME Segment

We’re seeking a Commercial Insurance Marketer with a strong background in small to mid-size enterprise (SME) insurance to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering tailored insurance solutions to a diverse range of clients, including complex and mid-large accounts. You’ll work collaboratively with producers, underwriters, and clients to assess risks, identify insurance needs, and develop customized marketing submissions and proposals. This position requires a consultative approach, strong technical expertise, and a client-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring high service standards and timely delivery
Prepare comprehensive marketing submissions, binders, and proposals tailored to client risk profiles
Identify coverage gaps and offer proactive solutions through upselling and cross-selling
Collaborate closely with insurance partners to secure competitive and comprehensive terms
Provide expert-level consultation on a wide range of insurance classes and specialty products
Handle multi-line accounts, including complex or niche risks, with premiums ranging from $50,000 to $1 million
Coordinate placements involving U.S. and international exposures as required
Qualifications
RIBO license (active and in good standing)
Minimum 3 years of commercial insurance brokerage experience
Strong technical knowledge in all major lines of commercial insurance, including specialty areas such as Cyber, D&O, and E&O (asset)
Additional industry designations (CAIB, CIP, CRM) considered an asset
Post-secondary education is also considered an asset
