ConsultANZ is looking for a Design & Estimating Engineer for a well-established piling & deep foundations company in Melbourne!

• $100k - $140k base + super, negotiable based on experience
• Based in Melbourne, VIC
• Permanent Full-time

Main Duties
Your responsibilities are, such as but not limited to:

• Liaising with the operations team to ensure design requirements are met.
• Developing piling design plans based on project specifications, loads, and soil characteristics.
• Evaluating geotechnical reports and soil conditions to determine the appropriate piling solution for the project.
• Preparing detailed cost estimates for piling materials, equipment, labor, and other associated expenses.
• Analyzing the project budget and recommend cost-effective piling solutions without compromising safety or structural integrity.
• Preparing detailed designs for projects to complete the exact specifications.
• Conducting project investigations and planning/design development.

Requirements
The successful candidate will bring to the role:

• Tertiary qualification and 5+ years experience in a similar or related role.
• Experience working for a well-established contractor/large design outfit.
• Experience using different design/engineering software such as MS Office Package and Plaxis 2D/3D or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A practical-minded hands-on approach.
