Overview
We are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to be based in Perth, Western Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across industrial automation, instrumentation, and control system design. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Rockwell and Schneider programming, as well as hands-on experience with instrumentation, LV design, and an aptitude for communication technologies and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission control systems using Rockwell and Schneider platforms.
- Develop and review instrumentation and low-voltage (LV) electrical designs.
- Prepare and deliver technical specifications, IO lists, functional descriptions, and detailed documentation.
- Interface with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality automation solutions.
- Contribute to and lead the development of project tenders, including scope definition, cost estimation, and risk assessments.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, and milestones.
- Provide support for communications systems and implement cybersecurity best practices in control system design.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, and site commissioning activities.
Required Experience - Proven experience in PLC and SCADA development using Rockwell (RSLogix/Studio 5000) and Schneider.
- Strong hands-on skills in instrumentation selection, integration, and LV electrical design.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus.
- Exposure to or experience with cybersecurity practices in industrial environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within a team and with clients.
- Experience in managing project budgets and contributing to tender development.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related discipline.
