ABOUT THE ROLE This is a leadership role where you'll lead the Christchurch-based team of account managers and act as the senior point of contact for some of the agency’s largest clients. While you won’t be hands-on with campaign execution, you’ll need a strong understanding of digital strategy and performance, as well as the commercial instincts to guide both clients and your team toward great results. You’ll play a key role in the agency’s growth by supporting new business and sales activity, from joining pitches and helping close high-value deals, to identifying upselling opportunities and ensuring a smooth handover into delivery. Working closely with the CEO and sales team, you’ll influence commercial outcomes and help shape the agency’s future.
Lead and coach a high-performing client service team.
Build and manage senior client relationships, guiding strategic conversations.
Contribute to business development through pitches and deal-closing.
Translate client needs into smart, performance-driven digital strategies.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE To succeed in this role, you’ll need a mix of team leadership, digital marketing know-how, and commercial confidence. You’ll be comfortable leading strategic conversations, identifying revenue opportunities, and navigating the challenges that come with delivering for ambitious clients.
Proven leadership experience in digital, agency, or commercial account roles.
Solid understanding of performance marketing across SEO, paid search, and social.
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and client management skills.
Commercially sharp, with experience in supporting sales or new business growth.
Comfortable in a high-performance, feedback-driven environment.
